ALASKA TRAVEL & COVID-19
Updated: June 11, 2020
Lighthouse Excursions is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its effects on travel to Alaska. Our top priority as a business is the health and safety of our guests and our crew as we continue to adjust to federal, state, and local health advisories and mandates. Due to mass cruise ship cancellations and travel restrictions, we very unfortunately will not be operating tours until 2021. We appreciate all of your understanding and flexibility during this time.
If you have booked a 2020 excursion directly with us, you will receive a 100% refund. We would also love to have the opportunity to meet you in 2021. We are a small, family run business and we greatly value your support of our company. While we are currently making adjustments to our operations to ensure we run with only the highest standard of health and safety, please check in with our tour calendar here as you think about your 2021 travel plans!
If you are a cruise ship passenger, please be aware that Norwegian, Oceania, Regent Seven Seas and Silversea are the only remaining major cruise lines with 2020 Alaska itineraries. Princess, Holland America, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Disney have all suspended the entirety of their Alaskan cruise ship season until 2021. If your travel has been affected by any of these cancellations, please contact your cruise line or travel agent directly about their cancellation policies and options to reschedule.
Please also visit the Alaska Travel Industry Association’s Alaska Travel Tips – COVID-19 for up-to-date information for all travelers to Alaska.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us here.
Thank you for your continued support!
