ALASKA TRAVEL & COVID-19
Updated: May 13, 2020
Lighthouse Excursions is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its effects on travel to Alaska. Our top priority as a business is the health and safety of our guests and our crew as we continue to adjust to federal, state, and local health advisories and mandates. We appreciate all of your understanding and flexibility during this time.
As of the time of this update, due to significant cruise ship cancellations, the earliest we will be operating tours is July of 2020. If you have booked an excursion directly with us and need to cancel your 2020 trip due to the COVID-19 health crisis, we will issue you a 100% refund. However, we would love to rebook you to later in the season, or have you join us in 2021. We are a small, family run business and we greatly value your support of our company. Please see our booking calendar here.
If you are a cruise ship passenger, please also be aware that the large cruise ship lines Princess, Holland America, and Carnival have all suspended the entirety of their Alaskan cruise ship season until 2021. Disney has suspended their travel to Alaska until August 3, 2020 and Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Norwegian have all suspended their travel to Alaska until July 1, 2020. If your travel has been affected by any of these cancellations, please contact your cruise line or travel agent directly about their cancellation policies and options to reschedule.
Please also visit the Alaska Travel Industry Association’s Alaska Travel Tips – COVID-19 for up-to-date information for all travelers to Alaska.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us here.
Thank you for your continued support!
